"No one signs up to be unhappy or to live an unfulfilled life". I am in private practice as a Mental Health Counselor in Seaford, DE. In my private practice, I provide mental health counseling to individuals dealing with a variety of mild to severe mental health issues/disorders in an outpatient setting. I have specialist experience working with trauma (including post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood abuse, neglect, and sexual trauma). I also regularly work with common difficulties such as depression, stress, and anxiety disorders. My therapy approach is always tailored to the individual and based on a careful assessment and formulation of their needs and difficulties. Therapy is collaborative, and all clients take an active role in their recovery and progress. I use the approach most suitable to their presentation, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma therapies such as EMDR, as well as person-centered therapy.
Catrina Hinds, ACS/LPCMH
Maybe things just are not going well for you and you just don't know where to turn. Maybe you just need someone to help you make sense of some things in your life. I have worked with children and adults for many years and I enjoy it. At this practice, I have chosen to work with teenagers and adults that want a change in their lives and are willing to do some work to make those changes. Give me a call, come in and let's talk. Things will get better. I specialize in working with trauma, depression, and anxiety. These are the prevalent disorders that people are facing today. We live in a world with constant challenges and it is easy to feel lost, overwhelmed and out of control. My focus is holistic and emphasizes natural approaches to wellness. I am a Christian and I will help you to apply biblical principles to aid in the healing process. It is my belief that God's word holds the keys to Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual wellness. I also believe in using evidence-based counseling techniques in conjunction with biblical application.
Sonia Songui, LPCMH
I'm passionate about facilitating the change process in others' lives. It is a wonderful experience to see someone emerge from his or her situation and transition into his or her greatness. This transformation is what gives purpose to my professional journey and it is my passion to help others. I believe that everyone can find their purpose and pursue it fully to surpass their expectations and current belief systems. It does require you to work on yourself and stay focused on your goals. I have several years of experience working with various mental health conditions. I'm most driven by focusing on the "Here and Now" and moving forward. Everyone has a history that has impacted who he or she is today. It is a matter of moving past that story and working towards the future creating the story that you choose. No one should live in his or her past or relive the pain. You must strive to live in your own best version of yourself. Self-growth is an ongoing process. I am extremely aware of the importance of being grounded in culturally responsive services. It enhances the therapeutic process when you're accepted and understood holistically. I look forward to exploring your counseling journey with you.

My name is April Albury-Hamon and I’m a Licensed Master’s level clinician with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Social Work from Delaware State University, Dover DE. During my 10+ years of mental health-related experience serving children, youth, and adults, I have had the opportunity to support individuals in seeing their true potential. My work with these individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem challenges, and even parenting difficulties, has allowed me to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds. During these challenging times, it’s good to know that you have someone in your corner helping you to overcome life’s obstacles. I believe in a client-centered approach to counseling, one where we work together to overcome these obstacles and create a path that allows my clients to lead successful and fulfilled lives. I believe that you get out what you put in and I encourage my clients to continually push themselves outside of their comfort zone to achieve the goals and outcomes they want.  I specialize in working with teens and adults who are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Addiction, and Trauma. Together we will work on developing coping mechanisms and a wide variety of skills to help you deal with the stressors that are common occurrences during these times. I believe in a more holistic approach to therapy and work closely with my clients to help them develop healthy ways to destress, relax, and cope with the pressures of everyday life.  I currently hold a Master's in Social Work degree from Salisbury University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wilmington University. I am a Licensed Master's Social Worker currently studying to obtain my LCSW. I have been counseling for the last two years but also have experience working with clients who have dealt with extreme trauma. Monserrat Matos, LMSW
One day at a time! Hello! my name is Monserrat Matos, I am a Licensed Master's Clinician and recent graduate from Delaware State University. I have been part of the Healing Pathways team for almost a year. My field placement clinical experience involves completing mental health crisis assessments for youth and intake assessments in a psychiatric hospital. My background in the social work field serving victims of crime for over nine years has shown me time after time the severe impact trauma can have on an individual’s emotional, cognitive, and social aspects of life. As a result, my passion was born – to help individuals reach their maximum potential while experiencing inner peace, acceptance, and happiness, despite the trauma that might’ve been inflicted upon them. Additionally, I enjoy working with adults and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, or having difficulty dealing with unavoidable life stressors. I have always believed one of my greatest strengths is my genuine ability to empathize with others. My goal is to provide a safe, accepting, and welcoming environment during sessions while practicing evidenced-based treatment modalities. It would be an honor to be part of your healing journey. I am proud to be part of the Healing Pathway’s Clinician Team.

Sarah Betts LPCHM
Hello, my name is Sarah Betts. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working in Seaford, Delaware. My work experiences have allowed me to assist children, adolescents, and adults with mental health struggles. A perspective that I hold to is that life can be challenging but there is no need to go through it alone. Another belief that fuels my work is the acknowledgment that there can be negative situations but there is always an opportunity for redemption and a good outcome. I work with older adolescents and adults who want or need a change in their life but might not know how to go about it. Those I work with need to be ready to do the work to bring about change. Unfortunately, I am not a miracle worker and can't make the changes for you. My primary interests are in working with young women battling depression, anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum emotional management. I do also provide counseling services to men. I believe to have complete healing the mind, body, and spirit must be addressed. I am a Christian and I use the Bible in combination with evidenced-based counseling techniques during my sessions. As a therapist, I listen, support, and provide a judgment-free safe place to help process your needs. I look forward to joining your journey towards healing.
